Killingly FFA Troop Care Package Drive

  MARCH 31, 2011 --

Killingly High School FFA Students and Parent/Alumni Organizers of the 2011 Troop Care Package Drive are looking to collect non-perishable items such as: Chewy energy/cereal bars, hard candy –not chocolate, hot coca, tea or coffee, instant soups, Microwavable popcorn, powder drink mixes, magazines, books, wet ones and hygiene items for both male and female for our troops overseas. 

The Troop Care Package Drive is scheduled for April 30th from 10 am – 2 pm at the Killingly FFA Farm located on Route 101. 

Monetary donations are also appreciated to help cover the mailing costs for the care packages.  This is the 2nd Care Package Drive that the Killingly FFA Students have organized.  Last year’s drive was a huge success and we thank the community and local businesses that helped support the event.

The Killingly FFA Chapter is a student leadership organization for students enrolled in agriculture education classes.  FFA is an integral part of the agriculture education program at Killingly High School and offers numerous opportunities for members.
