Get your bowling team together as the Connecticut State Grange Youth are sponsoring a "Bowl Across America" Bowl-A-Thon to be held on March 27, 2010 at Super Bowl Lanes in Plantsville.

The March 10th deadline to enter a team into the Bowl-A-Thon is quickly approaching.

Teams must consist of two players, with at least one member of the team a Grange member. Teams are to asked to solicit pledges either per pin or a flat donation. At the close of the Bowl-A-Thon, participants collect the pledge money from their sponsors, and are then eligible for awards. Teams are encouraged to wear something depicting their Grange, or that is Grange related. Teams will play three games. The team with the highest score at the end of three games will be the winner. All funds raised through this project will benefit the North East Youth Conference Travel Fund and the Connecticut Youth Travel Fund.

The cost to participate in the Bowl-A-Thon will be $15.00 per person. This includes shoes, bowling ball, use of the lanes for three games, as well as pizza and soda.

Super Bowl Lanes is located at 1300 South Main Street in Plantsville, and the event will begin at 1:00 PM. Those not wanting to bowl are encouraged to attend and cheer on the teams.
