| APRIL 2, 2011 -- Springtime greetings fellow Grangers and friends!
Last month I was commenting on how nice it was to finally see our driveway and sidewalks. Today I can actually see our lawn for the first time since late December. Thoughts of snow shovels and ice melt will soon be turning to seed packets and starter plants. It is a good feeling to get a little dirty and work the soil in the Spring.
This time of year our Granges are slowly emerging from winter hibernation. I see dinners and breakfast’s being scheduled. These events that are open to the public present a great opportunity to tell prospective members about our organization. Does your Grange have copies of the new brochures and material for your next public event? Did you know you can easily download material from our website?
We have some fun events planned for April including Rally Day, the Bowl-A-Thon, and the Connecticut State Grange Mystery Dinner. Perhaps you can invite a new member to join you for one of these activities?
