What a wonderful crowd we had at Grange Sunday. The hall was full and everyone had a good time. If you weren’t there, ask someone who was if they enjoyed it and then make plans to come next year. Our winners were: “A Number” Contest – 1st Sheriff Star representing New London County; 2nd “Starberries” from North Central Pomona; and, 3rd “The Planetarium” from Fairfield County Pomona.
Talent Winners were: 1st Jeffrey Lewis from East Central Pomona, 2nd Ruel & Jane Miller from New Haven County Pomona, and, 3rd Nancy Weissmuller from New London County Pomona. Jeffrey will represent Connecticut in the New England Finals at Lecturers Conference at Nichols College in Dudley, Mass on Tuesday evening, August 7th at 7:00 p.m.
Looking ahead — don’t forget about “Let’s Celebrate” at Good Will Grange Hall on August 25. We will be judging the Photo Contest during the day. Entries can be mailed to me ahead of time or brought to the hall that day between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. That evening beginning at 7:00 p.m. we will celebrate with some entertainment, the announcements of both our winners and the CWA winners, and refreshments and social hour.
