Agenda for State Ag. Committee Set
FEBRUARY 2007 -- At the Pink Sash Meeting in December, the Agricultural Committee began to set up the program for the year.

The agenda for this year will include the annual competition which will involve decorative corn, the annual Agricultural Day at the State Capitol in March, and work on the following:  the borderline between Rhode Island and Connecticut as open space in some form, the transfer of development rights for commercial purposes, how to keep farms on which the land has been saved from going to wasteland, how to start farms on small acreage, and the national identification of animals.

After the New England Leader’s Conference, we will be meeting to start work on all of these projects.
