| SEPTEMBER 5, 2015 -- The 100th Annual Northeast Grange Lecturers’ Conference is now part of history and with a total of 140 people registered it was one of the biggest ones in recent years. Twenty-three from Connecticut ventured north to Maine for this years conference.
To all who attended or gave me information for the program I say thank you. And, to those who donated toward my gift a special thank you. This was my 13th conference program and for all thirteen years you people have been wonderful. Your support means a lot, especially this year, because of all that all we have been through the last couple of months.
Now, on to next year. Rhode Island will be hosting the 101st Conference at Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts. We have been there before and it is a nice campus. The conference theme is “Come Visit Us In…”. Our program will be entitled “Come visit us in Connecticut”. If you have any skits or numbers featuring spots in Connecticut I would appreciate your sharing them with me. It’s never too early to start looking.
With your September – October Newsletter all Lecturers should have received their Honor Lecturer report form. Please take the time to fill it out even if you don’t qualify. This along with your Essays, Complete Programs and Should Auld Acquaintance Reports are due to me by October 1st. This deadline is strictly followed as I have to get them to the judges and then make out the certificates and etc.
Fall is here. Enjoy the cooler weather and enjoy your life. It is too precious to waste even a second of it. Hoping to see you around the State. |
