| SEPTEMBER 2016 -- What a wonderful group of Grangers from Connecticut we had at the 101st Annual Northeast Lecturers’ Conference. Everyone helped and because of this everything ran smoothly. I want to thank not only those that attended, but those who sent suggestions and loaned me items to use in the program. While we had only 18 registered, Massachusetts (where the conference was held) was the only one to have more than us.
I also want to thank everyone from Connecticut who donated to my gift. It was really appreciated. As I am always saying, Grangers are the best! Next year the conference will be held in Vermont. Hope more of you can make it.
Before the next Granger comes out, entries in our Complete Program, Should Auld Acquaintance and Essay Contest are due. The topic of the Essay Contest is “My Favorite Spot In Connecticut”. It should be 150 words or less. The topic of the Complete Program is “What’s Cooking?” Forms for Honor Lecturer will be mailed with the next newsletter. All of these are due by October 1st. I’m hoping to see a lot of you around the State. |
