Public Relations News
Public Relations News: A Little PR Housekeeping

By Terri Fassio, CT State Grange Public Relations Co-Director

  December 6, 2022 --

Just a few updates from the Public Relations Committee.

-- We are still working on the email conversion. Please be patient with us as we work through  the list. In the case of some of the committees, there is more than just email involved, such as social media and Facebook Pages, blogs, etc. We will be in touch with each person who is part of the conversion as soon as we can.

-- If your Grange needs Graphic Design services, (such as flyers, social media posts, brochures, etc.) we are more than willing to lend a hand - but please do not ask for something the same week as - or 10 days out from - your event. The more time you can give us to complete the task, the better. We have a backlog of requests and will get through these as quickly as we can in date order by the event or date needed.

-- For those Granges looking for historical research or background information on your Grange - again, we are more than willing to lend a hand, but please give us an adequate amount of time to complete these projects.

-- The Public Relations Committee will have a new contest this year. Be on the lookout as details will be released in the January issue of the Connecticut Granger.

-- Do you need a special Grange event or meeting photographed? Contact Bob Charbonneau and he will work with you to arrange for this to happen.

-- We are looking for volunteers to join the CT State Grange Public Relations Team. There are two specific areas where we need help:

1.  Social Media Assistants: Volunteers must be proficient in Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, SnapChat, and TikTok. Positions to include monitoring and updating existing Grange Social Media accounts, creating new accounts, and creating content.

2.  Website Assistants: Volunteers must have a working knowledge of HTML, ASP/VB Script and SQL Server Databases. Positions to include updating the CT State Grange Website and managing the Grange Website Program.

If you fit the criteria, and want to join our team, please send a message to Terri at information@ctstategrange.org.

— We have some new and exciting activities we will be working on in the new year. Are you on our email mailing list? If not, send us your email address and we will sign you up so that you can be kept in the loop on the latest news and activities of the Connecticut State Grange.

Questions, comments, concerns? Email Terri at information@ctstategrange.org  or Bob at publicrelations@ctstategrange.org today.
