At our September meeting we voted on the application for membership from Sandy Williams. We will Obligate her at our next meeting if she is available.

As I am writing this, we have not yet counted how many leads we have gotten from people who visited our booth at the Cornwall Agricultural Fair yesterday. The bubbles were again a big hit and allowed us to talk about our Grange while the kids made giant bubbles. On the free raffle ticket, they marked off if they were interested in “Grange Information”, “Grange Programs” and/or “Dance Information”. Each will be contacted by email with this information and hopefully attract new members.

Also, yesterday (Saturday) and today actors from the Sharon Playhouse are using our Grange Hall to rehearse since their usual Hall was not available. The Ellsworth Cemetery Association will also be using our Hall for their September meeting. We believe the more people we get into our Hall the higher the chance of getting a new member.

Len Rosenberg will take the school supplies we collected to the Eastern Provence of Zambia later this month. His group consists of medical and business professionals who are bringing medical supplies and clothing to distribute. He was asked to bring school supplies and a photo printer for the children.

We invite you to attend our October meeting, in costume, as it is always lots of fun and has great refreshments.
