DECEMBER 4, 2024 -- Dec. 6: This Magical Time of Year
Jan. 3: Sense of Wonder (Zoom)
Feb. 7: Love Language
Our November program featured information on the origin and ways we celebrate Veteran’s Day. Americans came together and produced thousands of tons of equipment for the second world war. Our country put 16 million men and women in uniform in various Armed Services. These men and women served in Europe, Africa and many places in Asia. This was a time when everyone worked together. Today the survivors from that time are getting fewer and fewer. Veteran’s Day is not to honor war but to honor those who served in all wars.
It is our duty to remember their sacrifices and honor them.
There are millions of people, young and old who live in poverty and there again it is our duty to help the helpless and feed the hungry as per the charge delivered at the end of our Grange meetings. Our collection this evening of non-perishable goods will be delivered to the local food shelf. We played Grocery Bingo games with the winners Joyce Jordan and Charlene Markowski.
Next month will be the last in- person meeting until spring. We will be on Zoom only through the winter. Come join us in December for festive fraternity, cookies and eggnog.
